Since i was a part of the conversation that have lead Kazack to decide to stop playing i feel i should explain to the public what happend.
First some back story. I read over the forums and found his thread and figured "Meh im bored,can just as well see if he is online and need help with something". Sure enough he was and we had a rather pleasant conversation and i did my best to answear his questions.
At a later point (a couple of hours) he joined our public channel. Now please note that our public channel has a lot of different people in them,some that are friends of friends,some that are just bored and enjoy the random conversations that can occur there. During this conversation he asked what was requiered to join our corp. All the rules where fine but limited API keys threw him off and he wanted to do more research on this,which is fine ofc. As a new player you are not familiar with this. We gave him varius links to eve wiki and such and he was going to take a look at a later point.
Now please remember what i said earlier with random people that hang around in our channel. As long as they dont start to smack talk or act like asses,we dont mind. New faces are always welcome.
But one of these random people (please note that i have no idea weather or not said person is a real female or not) had a female character and the title "a girl that likes girls". They had been in some sort of discussion (i dident pay much attention at this point i should add,but he/she was appologising for not understanding what he ment). This was followed by something along the lines off (sorry i cant post chat logs on these forums) that apparently one of our members had been lying when he stated our corp had morals,and i THINK he was trying to say that a lesbian obviusly cant understand whatever he was talking about.
This ofc raised a lot of warning flags for me,since we do have people in our corp that are homosexual and/or bi. I asked him (politely) if he had a problem with lesbians,and he made it rather clear that yes he had. We then settled that our corp where not the right corp for him (mutual agreement that went without any harsh words).
He proceeded to send me a mail on how to get in touch with him,and explained how he..hmm...Im sorry but me not being native english i dont know how to explain this any other way so it will be a copy paste. "But no worries at all as I'm a liberal and very fond of certain types of characters however I'm also one to avoid and ignore without remorse."
I thanked him for his mail,he left our public channel and sendt me this "You're a bad person huh?". Ofc i sendt him a reply and asked why he was of this opinion,but i never recived an answear.
So short version. Kazack i am sorry that you feel that a game that..accepts? homosexual players is bad
and i do hope that you find a game where you wont run into this issue.
For the rest of you,i just wanted this out in the open since i do not wish this story to be made out to anything else then it is. Honestly im still not sure what happend but well,now you know what i know
